This is a book illustration based on a story between father and daughter. When the girl was young, she always watched her father closely. She imitated his every move and hoped that one day she could be as successful as him. However, as her father’s business got busier, she had lesser chances of seeing him. She could no longer watch him closely nor imitate what he did. All she could do was to look at pictures of her father and dreamed that he would spend more time with her. Unfortunately, her dream never came true. The bondage between the daughter and her father slowly disheartened.

The style of illustration combines both Chinese ink painting and Western watercolour. It signifies the  integration of culture. The illustration is clean and minimalistic. Therefore, it is tailored to children for an easy read because they can focus more on the meaning behind the story.
